Conference Overview
In 2021, Precious Island focused on building a vibrant youth community, drawing eager students and activists from various parts of Indonesia and Timor Leste. These high schoolers, university students, and young professionals were united by a shared motivation to make positive changes in their communities. Through online campaigns, competitions, and webinars, we discovered that Indonesia is rich with capable youth leaders ready to contribute to global goals. The upcoming Global Youth Conference on Sustainable Development Goals 2021 aims to showcase their achievements and bring together youth from across Indonesia, alongside experts, stakeholders, and local heroes. As the COVID-19 pandemic poses significant challenges to the SDGs, this conference marks a crucial milestone in our decade-long journey to achieve Sustainable Development Goals in Indonesia.
