Highlighting Youth Action on Water, Climate Change, and Zero Waste

Started as webinars at home in mid 2020 by Precious Island, to hybrid conference during the pandemic, GYC has proven that whatever the situation, youth action must goes on. GYC 2020 attended by 60 on site participants and 651 online participants from 16 provinces in Indonesia.

In 2021, Precious Island focused on building a vibrant youth community, drawing eager students and activists from various parts of Indonesia. These high schoolers, university students, and young professionals were united by a shared motivation to make positive changes in their communities. Through online campaigns, competitions, and webinars, we discovered that Indonesia is rich with capable youth leaders ready to contribute to global goals.

The 2022 Global Youth Conference on SDGs was a two-day online event that brought together over 200 youth delegates, eager to learn and engage in discussions on pressing global issues. The conference featured inspiring keynotes from prominent figures like Indonesian SDGs National Coordinator Mr. Yanuar Nugroho, owner of the Body Shop Indonesia Ms. Suzy Hutomo, and SDGs ambassador Mr. Billy Mambrasar, who addressed critical topics ranging from climate change to gender equality.

Highlighting Sustainable Tourism, Ocean Conservation, Zero Waste

Dates: October 27-28, 2023 | Location:Sanur Resort Watujimbar, Bali, Indonesia

The 2023 Global Youth Conference on SDGs, held in Bali, focused on empowering youth to take action on Sustainable Tourism, Marine Conservation, and Zero Waste. Over two days, young leaders from around the globe gathered to exchange ideas, learn from experts, and create actionable plans to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
